Our Mission

To help children and veterans with mobility disabilities by the use of service dogs.  To lessen the person's specific disability by individually training every service dog with task-specific skills, obedience to commands, and the ability to negotiate challenges of public access.

To improve the quality of life for these individuals as they gain greater competence, security, independence, self-esteem and hope through the partnership with our service dogs.  All our dogs will be given to disabled individuals without cost.

To educate and increase public awareness regarding the established laws and the rights of service dogs and disabled individuals.  To promote the benefits that well-trained service dogs provide to disabled people and to their communities.

What sets us apart

  • Unlike many service dog programs, all our dogs will be donated to the disabled without cost.

  • All puppies will be bought from AKC recognized breeders who meet criteria for Breeders of Merit and/or H.E.A.R.T breeders.

  • Mobility Service Dogs, Inc. fully recognizes the dyadic nature of service dog and partner. It is not just about the dogs.  A high percentage of people with substantial mobility disabilities also present with serious psychological symptoms.  We perform an extensive applicant evaluation, so we can optimally pair the dog with her new partner and fine-tune after placement.

  • Long Term Follow-Up. Mobility Service Dogs Inc. actively participates in ongoing support after placement, remaining cognizant of the ongoing challenges facing the disabled.  Specifically, we will provide monthly on-site consultation and training for the three year after placement.  We are always available by telephone.
